What's The Count? {Unisex Names Part 1}

Unisex names seem to becoming all the rage lately. Some unisex names are seen strictly as girl names (Taylor and Aubrey) while overs are seen strictly as boy names (Ryan and Carson). There are names out there that seem to be equally popular on boys and girls. I thought it would be cool to look at how popular each unisex name is for boys and girls. We could get an idea as to what gender parents prefer for those names.

Most of these names I wasn't surprised to see more popular for that specific gender. What I was surprised about was just how close in popular Charlie was between boys and girls. It was only off by a few places. I went through the names and did a final count of how many names were more popular for girls and for boys. And the final count is...

14 for boys

8 for girls

It looks like unisex names are more popular for boys. We still have a whole other posts coming later in the week so maybe the girls will take over. What gender do you prefer for each of these genders?
