Top Debuts: 1979-1983

Hey guys! So I am back at school after my long weekend. I’m not sure how this week is going to be but I do have post planned for every day. If I have time in the middle of the week I will update the tabs but I don’t know if I will. Anyway for today’s post I have the next installment in the Top Debuts Series. It’s going to be years 1979-1983. So let’s get started.

1979
Chimere- This was the top debut for girls in 1979 and was given to 78 babies. Chimere means dream in French. In 2011, no babies were given this name.
Jorel- This was the top debut for boys in 1979 and was given to 22 babies. Jorel means father in Krypton. In 2011, 31 babies were given this name.

1980
Lerin- This was the top debut for girls in 1980 and was given to 35 babies. Lerin means my song in Hebrew. In 2011, no babies were given this name.
Tou- This was the top debut for boys in 1980 and was given to 35 babies. I couldn’t find the meaning of Tou. In 2011, 5 babies were given this name.

1981
Fallon- This was the top debut for girls in 1981 and was given to 232 babies. Fallon means superiority; descended from a ruler in Irish. In 2011, 31 babies were given this name.
Taurean- This was the top debut for boys in 1981 and was given to 90 babies. Taurean means bull in Latin. In 2011, 28 babies were given this name.

1982
Tyechia- This was the top debut for girls in 1982 and was given to 71 babies. I couldn’t find the meaning of Tyechia. In 2011, no babies were given this name.
Eder- This was the top debut for boys in 1982 and was given to 48 babies. Eder means flock in Hebrew. In 2011, 85 babies were given this name/

1983
Mallori- This was the top debut for girls in 1983 and was given to 35 babies. Mallroi means unlucky in French. In 2011, 96 babies were given this name.
Jonerik and Marquita- These were the top debuts for boys in 1983 and they were each given to 20 babies.
  • I couldn’t find the meaning of Jonerik. In 2011, no babies were given this name.
  • Marquita means dedicated to Mars in Latin. In 2011, no babies were given this name.

    1. I used to LOVE Fallon but now I just like it. That must have been a rare name to heard growing up.
