Long Time, No Post

I know it's been months since I have posted on the blog. I started college in August and was learning how to balance school, family, friends, outside activities, along with gaining new responsibilities and a new environment. All in all my life changed dramatically and I wasn't able to keep up with this blog.

Besides being busy, I also lost a love for baby names. I never thought I would say that but its true. I still like baby names but now I just don't love them. Before I was always thinking about baby names and now I just think about them once in a while.

With the semester coming to an end and having more time on my hands, I have been thinking about this blog a lot. I know that I would never be able to post daily like I use to but I would like to start posting more (which at this point would be posting at all!). I still don't have a strong love for baby names but I want to get back into the blogging.

I hope this is the first post of many more in the future. If I can post once a week I would be extremely happy. Now I am not making any promises. All I am saying is I hope to get back into the swing of things.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to update you on what has been goin on. I am super busy with getting ready for college. I move in in 8 days! Tomorrow will be a week until I move in! I can't believe this summer has flown by so fast! 

As for this blog, right now I am working on some post. In the next couple of weeks and months the post will be very slow and few. Starting college is going to be a lot and I have no idea when I will be able to get on and post. As soon as I figure out college and how to balance everything I will get on a more regular schedule of posting. 

There is on new thing I want to talk about. I got a kik! My username is laurenashleyyy2013 and I would love messages and questions from you guys! It can be about names or not. Anything would be nice.

Quick Update

Hey guys!

I just want to make a public announcement and apologize for not posting. I graduate high school on June 7 and May 31 is my last day of classes. May 31 is also my graduation party. With all of that I am so BUSY!

I have exams coming up for school. My party is what is really keeping me busy. I have so much to do and my hope is I get it all done this weekend. We are doing a candy bar and we had to get all of the dishes and candy. I am also making the favors, a sign, and a picture board. That is just SOME of the stuff I am doing.

I just want to say I am very sorry! I do want to post but I have to sacrifice blogging to get everything done. I have plans and post ideas. I also WANT to blog. It's so hard not blogging.

The only reason I can make this post is because I am in my religion class doing nothing. The teacher isn't here so I'm on my phone.

Update :)

Hey guys! I know I haven’t post in a while but we haven’t had good internet for almost a week. I have had to use my phone and now we have used up almost all of my data. As of right now my internet is back but I don’t know for how long. I’ll try to get post out and ready. I do have a five day weekend for Easter. I don’t really get a Spring Break because I go to a Catholic school. I do have plans to have blogs ready. 

I did want to get on here and just update you all. Some of you may know that Formspirng is shutting down :(. After being on there for more than a year and meeting some amazing people, I am sad to see it go. In an attempt to keep the community together, we have moved to a few places. We have a group on Facebook and we have all become friends on Facebook. We have also followed each other on Twitter, Pinterest, Listography, and any other place we could think of. We also have a forum board and we found a website that is JUST like formspring. I’ll link all of my stuff below if you want to keep in touch or be a part of any of those things. 

Some big news! I wrote an article for the baby name Magazine Matilda Mag! If you would be so kind as to check it out that would be great! I am so excited that it is in the magazine! It's on pages 32 and 33. http://issuu.com/matildamag/docs/winter2013

I will be starting the “Rare” Name series up again and I have some ideas for other blog post. I’ll probably be typing as much up as I can while the internet is down and when it gets back up I’ll post them. I’ll try my best to blog more.

Exciting Update!

Hey guys! So I already put a baby name post up for today but in the last couple of days I have had things that I need to update on. I thought it would be best to do it all in one post.

The first thing is on October 30 I logged into blogger and saw how many views this blog has gotten. I was so blown away that I had to take a screenshot. The amount of page views I had that day was 15,000!!!! Since then the blog has past that amount but I am still in such shock. Thank you to everyone who has and continues to come and read my blog.

The second thing is Matilda Mag! What is Matilda Mag? Well Matilda Mag is an online baby name magazine! The first issue was released last week by the creators, Sarah (of For Real Baby Names) and Kate (of Name Soiree). It is beyond amazing and a baby namers dream! Some of my favorite name boggers have articles in the magazine along with recipes, cute baby clothes, name consultations, and more. 

You can head on over to Matilda Mag’s website to see their blog, name of the day, polls, and more. Subscribe to get updates. And if you can’t get enough of Matilda Mag they also have a facebook page.  I know I love the magazine and you will too.

The third thing is Sammi’s baby! She announced the other day that the baby is a boy! A little Jonah Samuel! I am so happy for them and can’t wait for him to be born. I had a great time helping Sammi and Brandon come up with names they liked. Congrats Sammi, Brandon, and family!

So that’s really all I have to update on. All of these are exciting and I just had to make a post about it. I’ll talk to you guys tomorrow. Bye for now :).
