Bing Crosby is one of the most famous singers and actors associated with Christmas. His most famous song is White Christmas. It was debuted on Christmas Day in 1941 and a year later was featured in his movie Holiday Inn. He had his own Christmas special each year in the 1970s with his three children. Most people will know who you are talking bout if you say Bing Crosby.

As A Name 
Crosby is an Irish surname worn by not only Bing Crosby but also Sidney Crosby the NFL player and  David Crosby, singer-songwriter of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. The only person I could find with Crosby as a first name was Crosby Braverman, the fictional character from Parenthood. So not even a real person at all! I would say that in 10 years or so there will be more Crosby's walking around just based off the SSA popularity charts. The name debuted in the top 1000 in 2011 at #738 and is now up at #576 (2015). It means village with crosses in Irish.
