Fictional Prince Names

A few weeks ago I talked about non-Disney princess names. I couldn't leave the princes out so today I am talking about a list of fictional prince names. Disney princesses are included in this list because it seems that there are not many fictional princes out there.

Prince Caspian (The Chronicles of Narnia)
Caspian has an unknown meaning and origin and is a literature and place name. You can find it in the book as well as the name of an Ocean. I think this is such a cool rare name and the nickname Cas is great.

Prince Eric (Little Mermaid)
Everyone knows of Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid. Eric means eternal ruler in Old Norse. I think this name is nice but it sounds dated to me. It was most popular in the 80's and 90's.

Prince Florian (Snow White)
Prince Florian is a lesser known Disney Prince, at least to me. I had no idea the prince from Snow White had a name. I think Florian is pretty cool. It means flower in Latin.

Prince Hamlet (Hamlet)
Hamlet is a book many, many people had to read during their high school career. It's known by about everyone. I never had to read the book so I didn't know that Hamlet was a prince. There is little known information on the name but I do believe that William Shakespeare invented the name.

Prince Shasta (The Chronicles of Narnia)
The name Shasta is extremely unique name and most people are probably going to associate it with The Chronicles of Narnia series. I think it is cool and different. I know my fellow name sister, Amelia of EverythingBabyNames on youtube likes this name. There isn't much information on it either.

Prince Edmund (Blackadder)
I adore the name Edmund. My dad's middle name is Edward and I would use Edmund as a way to honor him. Edmund means fortune protector in English. I have here that Prince Edmund is from Blackadder, a British sitcom, but it is also from The Chronicles of Narnia.

Princess Naveen (The Princess and the Frog)
I just saw this movie a few weeks ago for the first time. I thought it was a pretty cute movie. Naveen is a variant of Navin, which means new in Sanskrit. I think the movie brought light to the name.

Caspian: Love! Could totally see this one used!

Hamlet: It was a play, not a book :)
