2020 Celebrity Babies {January, February, March}

I love to look at the celebrity babies born and what they are named. There have already been some great names in 2020 and I am sure even more amazing ones to come. In years past I have made monthly blog posts documenting the celebrity babies being born. I have even made my top 10 celebrity baby names of the year in December. 2020 Celebrity Name Predictions

In the last few weeks I have seen a lot of celebrities announcing pregnancies and they have all inspired me to make another predictions post! Although I have done this before and resulted in no wins it was still fun. Below is just a handful of celebrities expecting. I went with ones I am nmost excited for.

Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth

In 2019, Joy and Austin announced they were pregnant and then sadly lost their daughter at 22 weeks. In March of 2020 they announced they were expecting another daughter due in August. We saw a huge baby boom with Duggar grandbabies in 2019 and a lot of girls baring the names Gracie, Bella, and Addison. Some of the names I suggested for Annabell could work for this little girl.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner

Joe and Sophie are a young, new couple making me think they will pick a fresh name. Add in the fact that Sophie is British I could see them picking names more common across the pond.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom

Katy Perry had an iconic pregnancy announcement in her music video this month. Her and Orlando Bloom are expecting their first child together. Bloom has a son from his relationship with Miranda Kerr named Flynn but I am not going to base my name suggestions off of that. Flynn just doesn't seem very Katy Perry. But these names do!

Beverley Mitchell from 7th Heaven is expecting her 3rd child after a miscarriage. With her first she picked a modern nickname and her second is a name new to me. I can see her picking an unique name that surprises us. Maybe even something modern sounding.

Amanda Bynes has been quiet in recent years on social media and even in the media in general. She announced her pregnancy and surprised people by doing so. This is one name prediction I have no idea what direction she will take. It could go common, vintage, unique, or edgy.

Tyler Hubbard from the country duo Florida Georgia Line is expecting his 3rd baby, a boy! Their second was just born in the summer of 2019 making me surprised they are expecting again. The names they have picked are common familiar with a soft feel. I can see them going with a name containing an L. And a bonus name prediction: they stick with the R middle name. My suggestions include Robert, Rhett, River, Rhys, and Ryan.

Recent Celebrity Baby Birth Announcements

I have noticed that there have been some great celebrity birth announcements recently and I just had to share my favorites!

"Atlas Noa, In my 32 years of life I thought I had seen a lot of places, experienced a lot of things, met a lot of people and felt love...then came you," -Shay Mitchell 

Daughter of Shay Mitchell and Matte Babel

The perfect name for traveler Shay. Although I prefer Atlas on a boy (its my #1 boy name) I think the meaning is sweet and beautiful. 

"Our beautiful little miracle"- Josiah and Lauren

Daughter to Josiah and Lauren Duggar

Sister to Brother in heaven Asa

The name means beautiful miracle a perfect name for a rainbow baby. They lost their first baby, Asa, in October 2018.

Daughter of Kane and Katelyn Brown

Mom and dad kept with the K theme for their first baby a girl. They went with something both different and unisex.

"Named after the most incredible person I know... her daddy"- Shawn Johnson

Daughter of Shawn Johnson and Andrew East

I could die at the reason her name is Drew! Add in the fact that it is a unisex name that is more masculine like her mom and its just amazing.

Zaia just fits this couple and this family so nicely. I enjoy the edgy Z like her brother Maddox with his edgy X. At the same time she has the soft ending like Weslie.

I may be biased but it always excites me to see a baby named Ren or Renn. Compared to the sibling names Renn is a little surprising.

2018 Anticipated Celebrity Baby Names {Part 2}

Last week I talked about 6 celebrity couples that are expecting in 2018 and made some predictions on names they may or may not choose. I had such a fun time doing that one and had way too many expecting couples picked out to make just one post that I have another one for you today! Half of the expected parents in this posts are a part of the Duggar family. They are expecting a lot of grandchildren in 2018! 

Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict

Tia and Cory picked a short and to the point name for their first son. One that is familiar yet unique at the same time. It can be difficult to find the name Cree on baby name sites. One of my main name research source is Nameberry and they don;t even have the name listed! Will the couple pick another name that is familiar yet almost non existing?

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend

In 2016, the year Luna was born, I listed her name as my favorite celebrity baby name of the year. Luna has been growing in popularity since the early 2000s and finally made it into the top 100 in 2016. I foresee the couple picking another name that has been growing in popularity in the last 10 or so years.

Pete Wentz and Meagan Camper

Gender: Girl

Bronx and Saint are both names that fall under the word name category. Words that we hear enough and may not think of them as names at first. That is until someone uses them. I can see the couple going down the unique word name route again with their baby girl.

Joy Anna and Austin are just one of three couples expecting babies in 2018. There have been some rumors going around lately that the baby may have already been born but there have been no conformation. Either way this baby is due any day now and I am interested to see what naming route the couple goes down. Will it be familiar like Michael and Henry or unique and unexpected like Spuregeon and Israel? I think they will choose a familiar biblical name.

Joseph and Kendra Duggar

Joseph and Kendra announced they are expecting a little boy a few weeks ago but there was no word on the name. Like many of the other Duggar children I think the couple will go the biblical route maybe with a more unique name just not as unique as some of his siblings.

Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo

Gender: Unknown 

Jinger and Jeremy are the most recent Duggars to announce they are expecting. Jinger has been known to stray a little from the family viewpoints in the past. I wonder if it will show in the name the couple pick for their little one. Really its hard to tell when the family has such a wide variety of names. 

Girls: Mehitabel, Selah, Dove, Zipporah, Keturah, Opal, Shiloh 

Boys: Malachi, Lazarus, Gideon, Boaz, Tobias, Enoch 

Making these posts has been so fun! The hardest part has got to be making predictions for couples that do not have any children already and not knowing their naming style. Now I just want all these babies to be born so I can see how close or off I was in my predictions! 

2018 Anticipated Celebrity Baby Names {Part 1}

It's a new year with new births just waiting to happen. The year 2018 has already been an exciting year in name news with 2 Kardashian babies born. There's still one more Kardashian baby due and a new Prince or Princess  in England! But they aren't the only babies I am overly excited to hear names of and since I can't keep my excitement to myself I wanted to share it with all of you! I took the list of expected moms and dads that was floating around in my head and have thrown it down here for you all including any other their other children's names with it. And to make it more fun I've decided to give some name suggestions/predictions for these new babies as well. As I write this I am thinking it may or may not be in two or more parts depending on how long the post is. Read to the bottom to find out (or the title might just give that away).

Chip and Joanna Gaines
Siblings: Drake, Ella Rose, Duke, and Emmie Kay

My mom and I love their show, Fixer Upper on HGTV, and at the beginning of the current season (or maybe it was the end of the previous one) my mom made a comment that she thought that Joanna was pregnant again. Low and behold my mom was right! I can't wait to hear this new babies name because I'm curious to know if they will stick to the one syllable D names for boys and 2 syllable, double letter E names for girls?

Khloe has said on the Ellen show that if the baby is a boy they are thinking of naming him Tristan Jr. but had no girls names picked out. It was mentioned that she wants a girl name to be K or T after mom or dad. With the Kardashian family any name goes! There's some boy suggestions there just incase they decide not to do a  junior.

I know that everyone in the naming community, really I'd say just about everyone in general, is waiting patiently for the birth of the new Royal baby. I'm sure there are extreme namers out there that have looked into the royal family tree in depth but I am just going to suggest names that I think would go with George and Charlotte or names that are in the immediate family.

Macklemore and Tricia Davis

Sloane is a beautiful, vintage name with a little bit of spunk behind it. Ava is a much more popular name while Simone is again spunky. There are so many great names that flow with Sloane that I could list for paragraphs!

Boys: Ronan, Graham, Holden, Emmett, Beckett, Cole


Eric and Jessie James Decker

Gender: Boy
When it came to naming a girl Eric and Jessie picked a gorgeous feminine name while being both unique yet familiar. As for their second child, a boy, they went the route of junior. It may be easy to suggest girl names but boy names are kind of up in the air. Vivianne was my main source of inspiration for all the names.
Girls: Adelaide, Genevieve, Lillian, Penelope, Margot
Boys: Theodore, Henry, Sebastian, Samuel, Oscar, Finn

Alec and Hilaria Baldwin 
Siblings: Ireland (previous relationship), Leonardo Angel Charles "Leo", Rafael Thomas, and Carmen Gabriela
Gender: Boy
All of Alec and Hilaria's children have long romantic names that work in both English and Spanish seeing as Halaria speaks Spanish and they are teaching their children he language. These names also offer the option of a nickname like Leonardo.
Boys: Antonio, Valentino, Matteo, Santiago, Giovanni, Leopold


I am interested to see what all of these celebrities name their babies! What will be even more interesting to see is if I'm right or even close to the names these parents pick since I am not the best at making guesses. I'll have to make an updated post as the babies are born.

Kardashian West Baby #3

The newest Kardashian baby is here! I repeat the newest Kardashian baby is here! Normally I don't get super excited about celebrity baby news and I didn't for the last two Kardashian-West babies but this time is different. Something about the naming theme they already have, North and Saint, has me on edge for this new baby girl. Will they choose a one syllable, word name again? Or will they throw us off and go with something we would never expect? 

I've been working on my most anticipated celebrity names of 2018 but haven't finished it yet. I know I know it's already more than two weeks into the year but it's been slow coming. In this two part special I am listing the expecting celebrities I can't wait to hear names from AND giving suggestions/predictions. 

It's no surprise that Kim and Kayne's third baby is on there. She's definitely at the top of all the namers 2018 wait list. Since my post most likely won't be out before her name is released I'm dedicating a who post just to her! This post is being written as I sit in the lobby of my city's school district waiting for my younger sister to take a standardized test on my iPhone . 

North and Saint are both one syllable word names and they both contain the letter T in a prominent way. At first that is the route I was going in my suggestions but realized there aren't a whole lot of names out there in that category. Below are suggestions all across the board. 

Story, True, Aspen, Grey, Rue, Wild/Wilde, Arbor, Winter, Night, and Lux

Lux is a name I have been seeing suggested for this baby many, many times. I can get on board with Lux for sure! Maybe that will be this baby's name. North's name started as a rumor and then Kimye fell in love with it and used it. 

July Celebrity Babies

I use to make a post every month with the celebrity babies who had birthdays in that month. The reason I stopped is because there were too many names. I finally came up with a solution to my problem. Instead of doing every baby, I'll just pick my favorites for the month.

Marlowe Ottoline Layng Sturridge

July 7
Parents: Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge
Marlowe means driftwood in English. I find Marlowe to be very spunky and quirky. I like how its not popular but also not crazy different. Ottoline means prospers in battle in German. I like vowel names and Ottoline is one you don't hear very often. It sounds as if it belongs on a princess or an English girl.

Dashiell Orson Priestly

July 9
Parents: Naomi Lowde and Jason Priestly
Dashiell means from Chiel in French. I love the nickname Dash and Dashiell is also cute. Many of the popular boy names end in sounds such as son and er so its nice to have a different sound. Orson is a nice, fresh name. In both Latin and English it means bear cub. It goes along with a lot of popular names without being popular and overused. Vowel names are some of my favorite type of names but there are not too many out there. Orson is a name that just looks nice and sounds nice.

Bingham Hawn Bellamy

July 9
Parents: Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy
Bingham is very different and I can remember Kate Hudson receiving a lot of hate for the name. It is a British surname that means homestead at a hollow. I find the nickname Bing to be so cute and different. I like that this name is not like many popular names out there. Hawn sounds too much like Dawn for me to like it. There is really no information on the name Hawn.

Estela Ines Monteverde Landry

July 11

Estela is one of prettiest names I have ever seen! It's very grand and princess feeling. I know there are some princesses named Estela in the world. I would probably prefer the spelling Estella more. It means star in Latin. Ines looks like a word to me. It is the Latin and French variants of Agnes and means pure and virginal. Although it is very nice and different. I believe you can spell Ines, Inez and that looks less like a word to me.

Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt

July 12
Parents: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
I personally love all four of these names. They make great combos and great twin names. Knox means round hill in Scottish. The X in Knox gives it a little bit of an edge. It's short and sweet and gets right to the point. I know Knox isn't a super popular name but I feel like it is gaining in popularity. Leon is another short and sweet name. It looks very manly to me. In Greek, Leon means lion. Vivienne means life in French. I love this spelling of Vivienne so much. It makes it look prettier in my opinion and is yet another princess name. Marcheline is a name that I hadn't heard of before but I love it. In French it means warrior. The nickname March is so cute. Both Vivienne and Marcehline have great meanings.

Clementine Jane Hawke

July 18
Parents: Ethan Hawke and Ryan Shawhuges
Clementine is very pretty and has an old-fashioned feel to it. In Latin it means merciful. It's not too old lady but its also not super modern. It ages well both with the child's age and the time period. I have been seeing Clementine raise in popularity a little. Jane is a very filtered middle name. It's sweet but I would have liked to see something else. Jane is a Hebrew name that means God is gracious.

Scout Larue Willis

July 20
Parents: Bruce Willis and Demi Moore
Scout is a word name that could possibly mean explorer. I love the name Scout. It's very spunky and different. When I see Scout I think of a little tomboy who likes nature and the outdoors. As for Larue, I would much prefer just Rue but Rue wouldn't work with Scout. Scout Larue together does sound great. Larue means dweller by the side of the road in French.

Zev Isaac Miller

July 22

Parents: Marissa Jaret Winoku and Judah Miller
Both Zev and Isaac are Hebrew names. Zev means wolf while Isaac means laughter. I would much prefer Zev as a nickname but it is still cute. The z and V give it a little bit of an edge. Two semi rare letters. I do find Zev to look a little incomplete. Isaac is one of my favorite I names and together Zev and Isaac make a great combo.
