Hey guys! So for today’s post I have another installment in
the top debuts series. This time it is going to be years 1926-1929. So let’s
get started.
1926
Narice- This was
the top debut for girls in 1926 and was given to 13 babies. Narice means sea
nymph in Greek. No babies received this name in 2011.
Bibb- This was
the top debut for boys in 1926 and was given to 15 babies. It is a welsh name
and was given to no babies in 2011.
1927
Sunya- This was
the top debut for girls in 1927 and was given to 14 babies. Sunya means wisdom in
Greek. In 2011 no babies were given this name.
Bidwell- This was
the top debut for boys in 1927 and was given to 14 babies. I couldn’t find the
meaning of Bidwell. In 2011 no babies were given this name.
1928
Joreen- This was
the top debut for girls in 1928 and was given to 22 babies. Joreen is an
English-American name. In 2011 no babies were given this name.
Alfread and Brevard- These were the top debuts for
boys in 1928. They were given to 9 babies each.
- I couldn’t find the meaning of Alfread and it was given to no babies in 2011.
- Brevard means short, brief in Latin. It was given to no babies in 2011.
1929
Jeannene- This
was the top debut for girls in 1929 and was given to 26 babies. Jeannene is an
Australian name. In 2011 no babies received this name.
Donnald, Edsol, Rhys
and Wolfgang- These were the top
debuts for boys in 1929. They were each given to 8 babies.
- Donnald could possibly means great chief; world mighty in Scottish. It was given to no babies in 2011.
- Edsol means one who is noble and wealthy in English. It was given to no babies in 2011.
- Rhys means enthusiasm in Welsh. In 2011 it was ranked at number 486.
- Wolfgang means traveling wolf in German. In 2011 84 babies were given this name.
So that is all of the names. Some of the names are really weird
