Top Debuts: 1930-1933

Hey guys! So last night I got my class ring! It was so exciting and I am so happy with it. For today’s post I have another installment in the Top Debuts Series. This time it is going to be the years 1930-1933. So let’s get started.

1930
Laquita- This was the tope debut for girls in 1930 and was given to 68 babies. Laquita is a created name in American. In 2011, it was given to no babies.
Shogo- This was the top debut for boys in 1930 and was given to 11 babies. Shogo means one’s ministry in Japanese. In 2011, no babies received this name.

1931
Joanie- This was the top debut for girls in 1931 and was given to 12 babies. Joanie means God is gracious in Hebrew. In 2011 15 babies were given this name.
Rockne- This was the top debut for boys in 1931 and was given to 17 babies. Rockne means rock in English. In 2011 no babies were given this name.

1932
Carolann, Delano, and Jenine- These were the top debuts for girls in 1932. They were each given to 11 babies.
  • Carolann means free man in German and was given to no babies in 2011.
  • Delano means nighttime, nut tree in French and was given to no babies in 2011.
  • Jenine means God is gracious in French and Hebrew. In 2011, 8 babies received this name.
Alvyn, Avelardo, Elena, Mannon, and Wenford- These were the top debuts for boys in 1932. They were each given to 7 babies.
  • Alvyn means elf or magical being, friend in English and was given to no babies in 2011.
  • Avelardo means generous and solid in Spanish. It was given to no babies in 2011.
  • Elena means sun ray, shining light in Greek and was given to no babies in 2011.
  • Mannon could possibly mean of the sea or bitter in French and was given to no babies in 2011.
  • Wenford means white ford in English and was given to no babies in 2011.

1933
Gayleen- This was the top debut for girls in 1933 and was given to 23 babies. Gayleen means father of exaltation in Hebrew. In 2011 no babies were given this name.
Skippy- This was the top debut for boys in 1933 and was given to 10 babies. Skippy means master of a ship in American English. In 2011 no babies received this name.
