Top Debuts: 1905-1909

Hey guys! I know that you probably want to see more of the “Rare” Names but today’s post is another installment in the Top Debuts Series. It is years 1905-1909. The reason I am doing this series and not the other one is because when I have a little bit of time to blog it is faster for me to do the top debuts than the “rare” series. I promise more will be up this weekend. So let’s get started.

1905
Oliver- This was the top debut for girls in 1905 and was given to 9 babies. Oliver means olive tree in Latin. It wasn’t given to any babies this year.

Robley- This was the top debut for boys in 1908 and was given to 12 babies. Robley means oak, string in American or farm by a swift stream in English. Robley was given to no babies this year.

1909
Wilmoth- This was the top debut for girls in 1909 and was given to 9 babies. I couldn’t find a meaning for Wilmoth but it could be a different spelling of Wilmot, which means will helmet, protection in English. It was given to no babies this year.
Randal and Vidal- These were the top debuts for boys in 1909 and were given to 9 babies each.
  • Randal means wolf shield in German and was given to 35 babies this year.
  • Vidal means life-giving in Spanish and was given to 46 babies this year.

So that is my list. Tomorrow will be another Feature Friday so look out for that. I hope to update the name tabs this weekend but there are no guarantees. I hope you liked this and don’t forget to comment. Bye for now :).
